Delas Saint-Jospeh 'Sainte-Epine' 2018

This wine has a deep ruby color with purple tinges. Its nose shows aromas of blackberries and spices, lifted by some mineral and gently-wooded notes. Well-concentrated, this wine has pure flavors that come to the palate in successive layers of varying aromas, all of equal intensity. Pair with game, marinated beef in sauce, grills and green peppers. It also goes well with all types of cheese.

In the same mold as the Francois de Tournon, the 2015 Saint Joseph Sainte Epine will see 18 months in barrel, 40% being new. This loaded, inky-colored, gorgeously concentrated and pure effort has off-the-chart notes of cassis, crushed rocks, pepper and graphite; it also has full-bodied richness, building, ultra-fine tannin and a blockbuster finish. It's one of the gems in the vintage, but there are only 500 cases made, so don’t miss a chance to grab a few bottles.
