The Nicolas Idiart Pinot Noir is produced from vines which range in age from 21 to 40 years. As all great French Pinot Noirs are, they are planted on limestone soils - in this case, in the village of Marigny-Brizay, which is south of Chinon.
Mature red berry flavors of cherry, kirsch, and raspberry mixed with vanilla and spices. Harmonious and balanced with a plump fruitiness and silky texture which are offset by round, gentle tannins. Medium body and an elegant structure.
