This Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is a full bodied and complex claret from the east-bank. A rich Merlot, this wine has firm tannins as well as a dense texture. Jammy flavors are mitigated by tannins and the acidity that creeps in. A complex and powerful nose – fruity and spicy notes due to red fruits and Morello cherry aromas. Well balanced and sophisticated palate with silky fruit flavours of cassis and damson. Oak notes are present without over-shadowing the fruit, lending spice, cedar, and a touch of vanilla to the long and persistent finish. Drink from 2024.
Pairs with red and white meat, roasted vegetables and soft cheese.
Blend: 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc.
